Places to eat

So many places to eat and everyone likes different things. In Crediton there are endless Pubs, Fish and Chip shops,  Indian and Chinese  take outs/restaurants,  a Deli,  Wetherspoons, Crediton coffee shop and other tea rooms.  Exeter is a 20/25 minute drive and offers just about every type of dining experience . For dining out these are just a few of the more local places we love and guests have also recommended:

Beer Engine, Newton St Cyres
Hugely popular and friendly local pub with micro brewery and a fantastic ranging menu. CAMRA member for those who like their beer. Sunday Roast for those with hearty appetites is served from mid day until 5’ish – always best to give Will a ring and book as it gets very busy. Simply a fabulous pub

The Ring of Bells, Cheriton Fitzpaine
Our favourite, always scooping awards and deservedly so.  A fabulous, friendly local pub serving inventive food from a lovely menu. Let Bea and Dave cook and Land Bird Binka look after you for the evening – they’ll even do the washing up!

 The Lamb Inn, Sandford.

16th century former coaching house, low ceilings, comfy sofas and stunning food. In the middle of the village of Sandford. Dreamy.    www.lambinnsandford.co.uk

Red Lion, Shobrooke.                                                                               A twenty minute walk across the fields or a five minute drive over the hill. The Red Lion offers traditional Pub Grub and has a large garden to sit and enjoy a good range of local beers and cider, with fantastic views.                                            www.redlionshobrooke.co.uk

Yearlstone Vinyard, Bickleigh
Light lunches, Wine tours and tasting – all just a few miles up the road from Great Gutton!

Thornes Farm Shop and PYO,  Stockleigh Pomeroy                                                         Turn left out of the gate and we have a fab farm shop selling their own seasonal fruit and vegetables, a great range of local  food produce and gifts and  lovely little cafe/tea room. In the Summer months you can pick your own and I know there are plans to develop the whole of the cafe and increase the range of meals served. Great for a traditional full English!                                                   www.thornesfarmshop.co.uk

We look forward to meeting you!
